Vocabulary
Key terms you'll master
- Generative AI
- AI tools that create new content such as text, images, audio or video in response to a request.
- Large language model (LLM)
- The type of AI model behind chat assistants. It learns patterns from huge amounts of text and generates responses by predicting likely next pieces of text.
- Prompt
- The instruction or question you type into an AI tool. Clearer prompts with more context usually give better results.
- Prompt engineering
- The skill of writing clear, detailed instructions for an AI tool so that it produces useful, accurate output.
- Role (in a prompt)
- The persona you ask the AI to adopt, such as 'experienced Instagram copywriter', which shapes tone and expertise.
- Context
- Background facts you give the AI about the business, offer, goal and situation so its output is specific rather than generic.
- Text-to-image
- AI that creates a new image from a written description (prompt).
- AI image editing
- Using AI to change an existing image, such as removing a background, extending the frame or replacing an object.
- AI avatar
- A digital presenter generated by AI that can speak a script on video.
- Keyword clustering
- Grouping similar search phrases by topic and intent so that one page targets one group instead of many near-duplicate pages.
- Content brief
- A plan for a page that lists the target keyword, reader, intent, headings, questions to answer and where to add first-hand experience.
- CSV file
- A simple spreadsheet file format (comma-separated values) that most ad, analytics and e-commerce tools can export.
- AI-assisted workflow
- A repeatable process (research, draft, human edit, publish, measure) where AI speeds up some steps and humans own editing and approval.
- Human checkpoint
- A step in a workflow where a person must review and approve AI output before it moves forward.
- Automation tool
- Software such as Zapier, Make or n8n that connects apps so an event automatically triggers actions, sometimes including an AI step.
Who this module is for
- Marketers who use ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude occasionally and want reliable, repeatable results.
